Juan Soto’s free agency saga is believed to be in its final stages. MLB fans have been patient enough to wait for the slugger’s decision. After a long wait, according to his agent, Scott Boras, Soto started eliminating teams.
Soto is expected to sign the second-biggest contract in the league behind Shohei Ohtani. However, the latest buzz is that the slugger’s contract is expected to reach Ohtani’s $700 million with one super team involved.
According to one of the most trusted MLB insiders, Jon Heyman, Soto has five teams in the race. Heyman believes that Juan Soto’s sweepstakes is expected to hit $700 million. The Mets and Yankees hold the advantage over the All-Star slugger. On the other hand, the Red Sox and the Blue Jays are not top suitors.
That said, one super team has been linked with Soto. It’s none other than the World Series Champions. The Los Angeles Dodgers have a super team with some leading baseball players on their roster.

Imagine Juan Soto playing with Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, and all the others. Wouldn’t that be a sight? The Dodgers are trying to build a legacy and win as many World Series as possible with Ohtani as the face of the franchise. Adding Soto would make them an extraordinary threat.
Shohei Ohtani’s Annual Deferrals Could Pave The Way For Juan Soto
Ohtani has $68 million in annual deferrals with the Dodgers. The Boys in Blue would try to push their max and make use of Ohtani’s deferrals. While they do need to be precise on their payouts, they could still try to work their way around.

Moreover, if the Dodgers win more World Series titles, there will be no need to worry about deferrals. Juan Soto wants to win and get paid at the same time. To do so, the Dodgers will be the best super team for Soto.
The Dodgers are expected to sign Teoscar Hernandez, but Dave Roberts and his squad can surprise everyone. It’s hard to say that they cannot sign Soto. All they need to do is outbid the Mets and the Yankees. Or, they need to persuade Soto to sign with a team that is predicted to dominate the MLB for the next decade.
