Over the past few months, the Houston Astros have been in the headlines for cheating allegations that date back to 2019, but this time around, it’s about moving a big name player on the team.
According to The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal, Houston is considering dealing All-Star shortstop Carlos Correa with the organization getting set to face difficult payroll decisions in the years to come.
Correa hit 21 home runs with 16 doubles and a .279/.358/.568 slash line last season. However, the 25-year-old missed a bunch of time in 2019 with a fractured rib and missed even more time due to a reoccurring back injury.
He is under contract for two more years.
