The Los Angeles Dodgers are adamant to win their second-straight World Series title. The team has acquired several star free agents this offseason and is ready to do more before spring training. February 21 is the day that teams and players will meet each other after a long winter break.
The franchise recently traded Gavin Lux to the Cincinnati Reds. The Boys in Blue could be gearing up to trade a few players before spring training. Surprisingly, three players could part ways with the team. These three players could be on the move after bringing back Teoscar Hernandez and their top sluggers.
Dodgers Could Part Ways With Miguel Rojas And Chris Taylor
Miguel Rojas had limited time as a shortstop in the 2024 season. Rojas slashed a batting clip of .283 with a .337 OBP and a .672 OPS. He smashed six home runs, and Mookie Betts played shortstop for a while. The team might not have a spot for Rojas in 2025 and could place him on the trade block. Rojas will have a $5 million player option that will benefit the team financially.
Following Rojas will be Chris Taylor, who struggled in 2024. Taylor recorded a batting clip of just .202 and hit four home runs in 213 appearances at the plate. Taylor’s struggles were evident, and it makes sense for the team to let him go.
Dodgers Might Add James Outman To The List
James Outman was sent to Triple-A for most of the season due to his slumping performance. Outman’s numbers were pretty low compared to his 2023 season. With players like Tommy Edman doing a fine job, the team can count Outman out of the 2025 season.
According to a report by Dodgers Nation, these players are expected to be on the trade block. The chances of the team parting ways with them are highly possible. The franchise has over one billion dollars of deferred money on players’ contracts. Trading three players might open a way for other stars.

The Dodgers are also pursuing international agent Roki Sasaki. Dave Roberts wants to win more, and the team has a knack for bringing in Japanese stars. On the other hand, the Blue Jays and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. seem to be falling apart for an extension.
