Thom Brennaman likely knows his career is over.
The longtime Cincinnati Reds announcer used a homophobic slur while live on air Wednesday when he did not realize he was live.
Brennaman was caught on a hot mic saying, “one of the (expletive) capitals of the world” while broadcasting during the Reds’ game against Kansas City.
Brennaman was in the midst of announcing the second game in a doubleheader against Kansas City when he issued his apology, but it got interrupted by a home run midway through.
