I’m going to start things off by saying this was clearly accidental. The Cincinnati Reds announcer certainly didn’t intend to blurt out the n-word during yesterday’s broadcast.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t control this little slip-of-the-tongue, and we all heard the result:
He was obviously trying to refer to Arnold Schwarzenegger, while trying to compare the Reds’ Michael Lorenzen and Derek Dietrich’s handshake to that of Arnie and Carl Weathers from the movie Predator. Maybe next time just refer to Schwarzenegger as “The Governator.”
