Major League Baseball stadiums all have quirks that make them unique. Unlike other leagues, baseball has the chance to design its stadium with different dimensions, aspects, and attractions that don’t match any others.
With that being said it doesn’t mean that every stadium is equally as grand or impressive as others. For this list, we will be Ranking All 30 MLB Stadiums From WORST To FIRST.
30: Oakland Coliseum
At one point the Coliseum was one of the best stadiums in the MLB. Times aren’t treating the stadium wall however as it’s practically falling apart as I write this. There are major problems with the sewage, broken seats everywhere and a moth infestation.
The icing on the cake is during the 2023 MLB season there was a possum living in one of the broadcasting booths.
29: Tropicana Field
Home of the Tampa Bay Rays which is ironic since it can take up to an hour and a half to travel from Tampa to the stadium. This could explain why only 19,000 fans showed up for the Rays’ first Wild Card game against the Texas Rangers.

The odd design of the catwalks has also been a major negative aspect as well.
28: Comerica Park
The Tiger’s stadium just doesn’t have anything to set itself apart from other parks. They could definitely play a lot more of the city of Detroit being in the background to really improve it. They seem to be working on the unconventional dimensions but it’s not enough to rank it higher.
27: Angel Stadium
One of the oldest stadiums in baseball yet hasn’t had any major changes or renovations since the 1990s. It could easily become a top 15 if we saw some improvements but there doesn’t seem to be a lot of urgency to do so.
26: Rogers Centre
With a retractable roof and located in downtown Toronto the Blue Jays have a prime opportunity to turn this stadium into a major tourist attraction. The designers really should have been better at showcasing the only team in MLB to play in Canada.
25: Guaranteed Rate Field
Certainly overshadowed by the team up North but the home of the White Sox could certainly use some improvements. Their background is definitely unique but that doesn’t mean it’s better. Along with the odd lighting fixtures in the outfield, it just looks out of place.
24: Chase Field
Being one of the largest stadiums is awesome if you consistently pack the house but that’s something the Diamondbacks have failed to do. They might benefit from lowering the capacity and focusing on other parts that need work.
23: Minute Maid Park
The Astros easily have the worst batters eye in the entire sport. Their left field is certainly different than most teams as the fence reaches out to just 315 feet with a 19-foot fence. They also haven’t had any major renovations in a few years.
22: American Family Field
The home of the Brewers certainly has a good location for fans traveling from Milwaukee but has a lot of dates. They would greatly benefit from a new scoreboard to keep up with the rest of the league.
21: LoanDepot Park
The Marlins have a very family-friendly park but aren’t enjoyed much due to their very low attendance numbers. Along with the removal of the home run sculpture and lack of history, it’s hard to put them any higher than this.
20: Progressive Field
The Guardians have those similar toothbrush lights as the White Sox but have placed them in a much better spot. They also offer extremely good views of the field at every level of the stadium. If it had some more history behind it it could be ranked higher.
19: Kauffman Stadium
The waterfalls in the outfield are a major plus for the stadium. They also offer a ton of local food options that we don’t see with every other team. Due to recent struggles, however, the stadium doesn’t get the love it deserves due to low attendance.
18: Nationals Park
The Nationals are one of the few teams that play on artificial turf which just isn’t as good as natural grass. The area surrounding the park also sees major traffic due to its location on game days, but who can resist going to see the Racing Presidents.
17: Dodgers Stadium
With how great the Dodgers always seem to be you’d think that the fans are rewarded with an amazing place to watch a game. The stadium feels dated but is saved by the fact that it has so much history infused into it.
16: Truist Park
The Braves home has an amazing location just 10 miles from downtown Atlanta. There is limited public transportation which knocks it down a few spots. It does have a very pleasing aesthetic, however.
15: Yankee Stadium
It’s obviously going to be a historic place if the Yankees play there but it is also surrounded by an Amazon atmosphere and extremely accessible for everyone. It is certainly more pricey than almost every other stadium though.
14: Globe Life Field
It’s definitely nice but certainly underwhelming for a stadium just built in 2020. They’re another team that chooses to play on artificial turf which is less than ideal. It really has no bad seats though even in the 300 sections.
13: Citizens Bank Park
The 2023 MLB playoffs have shown that this stadium can easily become one of the most electric atmospheres in all of sports. It has a very open design that we see a lot of other teams choose to use. If you’re lucky enough to sit in the lower section behind home you’re in for a treat.
12: Busch Stadium
The Cardinals were able to really capture the amazing skyline that the city of St. Louis has to offer. The outside of the stadium gives off old-school baseball vibes that anyone can appreciate. With lots of historical significance, it’s a great place to watch baseball.
11: Great American Ball Park
Located on the Ohio River there’s an amazing view for anyone in attendance. There’s so much history that comes along with the Reds and the designers were able to incorporate that all throughout the park.
10: Target Field
The open design and amazing view of downtown Minneapolis are both a plus for the Twins. It’s also connected to the Minneapolis Skyway Connections which makes it extremely easy for fans to come and go.
9: Coors Field
Coors is going to have one of the best views you ever get from an MLB stadium. It’s hard to beat looking at the Rocky Mountains on a good day at the ballpark. The design is also unique but in a way that only enhances the positive qualities surrounding it.
8: T-Mobile Park
There’s something about Seattle and making good stadiums because just like the Seahawks the Mariners have an amazing home field. The retractable roof and great scenery make it impossible to leave out of the top 10.
7: Camden Yards
If you’ve got a full-view shot of downtown it feels like it’s hard to mess up the rest of the stadium. The Orioles ballpark has a very old-school vibe to it but is still a state-of-the-art stadium with lots of amenities.
6: Fenway Park
Fenway is an absolute classic. There is nothing more recognizable when it comes to stadium design than the green monster. Although the structure is extremely old the Red Sox have done very well keeping it up and modern.
5: Citi Field
The Mets did awesome when it came to incorporating all their history into a new stadium. There is a ton of local artwork all over the walls which shows a strong community presence.
4: Wrigley Field
Wrigley is another stadium that makes it this high because of the amount of history in it. If the green monster is the most recognizable aspect of an MLB stadium then the ivy-covered outfield walls are second.
3: Oracle Park
Set up next to McCovey Cove there’s almost nothing more exciting than watching a homerun splash into the water. Along with Triples Alley, Oracle has more than enough features that set itself apart from other teams.
2: Petco Park
With beautiful weather 24/7, the open design and the lawn seating there are almost too many ways to enjoy a Padres game at Petco. With new renovations coming soon to improve grass seating it’s only up from here for the home of the Padres.
1: PNC Park
The designers who made this stadium perfected the idea of a downtown landscape in the background. Along with the Roberto Clemente Bridge, the stadium is near perfect. It should be on everyone’s bucket list to catch a game there at least once.
