The Pirates went 4-3 last week; their season has gone downhill since May because of their lack of offense.
25. Oakland Athletics (Last Week's Rank: 25)

24. Washington Nationals (Last Week's Rank: 21)

23. Cincinnati Reds (Last Week's Rank: 22)
The Reds It was a productive week for the Reds, going 5-2 last week. They’ve played much better over the last few weeks, but it could be too little, too late.
22. Toronto Blue Jays (Last Week's Rank: 23)
Things continue to get worse and worse for Toronto. They, like other MLB teams at the bottom, had a chance to rebuild through trades but chose to wait until the offseason to keep their core intact.
21. Texas Rangers (Last Week's Rank: 24)
Texas had a disappointing year following their run to the World Series. But their team spent most of their season without their two aces, Max Scherzer and Jacob DeGrom.
20. Tampa Bay Rays (Last Week's Rank: 20)
Tampa Bay is now just one game below .500; over the last few weeks, this team has been inching back above the mark. But also back into the playoffs.
19. San Francisco Giants(Last Week's Rank: 18)
The Giants have been on the negative side of the playoff race, as they’ve taken a lot of losses in the last three weeks. They’ve gone 6-10 in their last sixteen games and are now 7.5 games back in the playoffs.
18. Boston Red Sox (Last Week's Rank: 14)
Boston has a top pitching rotation, but their struggles at the plate are why they struggle to win games. Boston has gone 4-7 in their last eleven games.
17. St. Louis Cardinals (Last Week's Rank: 19)
The Cardinals are 5-3 in their last eight games. The vets are leading the way giving them sparks in key moments. Still sitting at six games back from a wild card spot, St. Louis needs to keep up the wins to stay in the playoff race.
16. Detroit Tigers (Last Week's Rank: 16)

15. Seattle Mariners (Last Week's Rank: 17)
It’s hard to ever know what you’re going to get from Seattle. One week, they’re great, the next mediocre, and the next ice cold. Right now, they’re competing for the 3rd wild card spot, as they’re in a three-way tie with Boston and Detroit.
14. Minnesota Twins (Last Week's Rank: 10)
The Twins continue to drop in the rankings based on lack of offense. One of the hottest offenses in the #MLB season to start the year has suddenly gone cold and started to freeze their playoff hopes.
13. Chicago Cubs (Last Week's Rank: 15)

12. Houston Astros (Last Week's Rank: 9)

8. Kansas City Royals (Last Week's Rank: 11)
The Royals have had a surprising season. They’ve won four of their last five, but before that, they were on a seven-game losing streak. Their biggest weakness is how cold their offense can go for weeks at a time.

Cleveland has won five of their last eight games. They hold a 3.5-game lead in a competitive AL Central and get better week by week.
6. Baltimore Orioles (Last Week's Rank: 5)

5. Milwaukee Brewers (Last Week's Rank: 4)
On one hand, the Brewers had a bad week. But on the other hand, they still have a nine-game lead in the NL Central division, so it won’t hurt them.
4. San Diego Padres (Last Week's Rank: 6)
The Padres have dominated the second half of the season and now lead the NL Wild Card Race. San Diego has gotten production from everyone and now has their best player, Fernando Tatis Jr, back in the lineup.
3. New York Yankees (Last Week's Rank: 3)

1. Los Angeles Dodgers (Last Week's Rank: 1)
To no one’s surprise, the Dodgers are the best team in baseball. They’ve now had the best record in the MLB for three weeks and could be one of the only teams to reach 100 wins.
