The best of the best faced off last week in the MLB, giving fans even more to believe in. Here’s this week’s MLB Power Rankings to show you who the best baseball team is right now.
Which MLB teams gained some ground toward the top spot this week?
30. Chicago White Sox (Last Week's Rank: 30)
Nothing is worse than the Chicago White Sox right now, like nothing.
29. Colorado Rockies (Last Week's Rank: 29)
All you can do is laugh at the Rockies. This MLB team is pitiful, but they are better than the White Sox.
28. Miami Marlins (Last Week's Rank: 28)
The Marlins are currently one game behind the Rockies, but that changes daily depending on who’s on a losing streak. They face off this week to settle the score.

27. Los Angeles Angels (Last Week's Rank: 27)
The Angels have won two of their last 13 games. They might not be statistically out of the playoffs, but their season is over.
26. Pittsburgh Pirates (Last Week's Rank: 25)
Like the Nationals, Pittsburgh started the year with so much promise, but we’re now just watching prospects develop. They technically still have a playoff chance, but they haven’t played like a playoff team since June.
25. Texas Rangers (Last Week's Rank: 24)
The Rangers have done everything in their power to prove last season was a fluke. Just a few weeks ago, they had a chance to win the AL West, and now they’re 10.5 games back.
24. Cincinnati Reds (Last Week's Rank: 21)
The Reds season is all but over. They went 2-4 last week, dropping three of those games to the Pirates.
23. Washington Nationals (Last Week's Rank: 26)
The Nationals call up Dylan Crews this week to officially begin the rebuilding process. Hopefully, in three years, they’ll be a better MLB team.
22. Toronto Blue Jays (Last Week's Rank: 23)
Toronto picked up four wins last week. It’s too bad it was against the Angels, so it means virtually nothing.
21. Oakland Athletics (Last Week’s Rank 22)
The A’s are fighting, but it’s not working out well for them. They win once every three games, and their record continues to drop. They’re a young MLB team, so the future is what’s most important.
20. Detroit Tigers (Last Week's Rank: 19)
The Tigers had a strong week, going 6-2 in their last eight games. They’re climbing the rankings, but the biggest question is whether they can keep up the momentum they’ve created.
19. Chicago Cubs (Last Week's Rank: 20)
Oh, Chicago. While they aren’t as bad as their in-city opponent, the White Sox. They’ll be equally disappointing if they don’t make the playoffs.
18. Tampa Bay Rays (Last Week's Rank: 15)
The Tampa Bay Rays are 6-4 in their last ten games and have played hard recently, but their playoff dreams seem to be coming to an end if they don’t pick it up.
17. San Francisco Giants (Last Week's Rank: 17)
The Giants are chasing the Diamondbacks, Padres, and the Dodgers in the NL West. They had another mediocre week and need to pick it up to get into the last wild-card spot.
16. St. Louis Cardinals (Last Week's Rank: 18)
The Cardinals veterans and some good luck are winning them baseball games. But they need a winning streak to get closer to the playoffs in the NL Wild Card race.
15. New York Mets (Last Week's Rank: 13)
The Mets were unstoppable in July, but now they’re on the outside looking in for playoff fun. Last week, they went 4-3 and won their series against the Orioles. I think they’ll make the playoffs, but they have a few games to win to get there.
14. Seattle Mariners (Last Week's Rank: 15)
Seattle made all the right moves at the trade deadline, but things have only gotten worse for them. The Mariners trail the Astros by 4.5 games in the AL West and are 6.5 games back from a wild card spot.
13. Atlanta Braves (Last Week's Rank: 16)
The Braves are holding on to the third NL Wild Card spot for dear life. They had a dominant week, but one losing streak might put them on the outside looking in.
12. Boston Red Sox (Last Week's Rank: 11)
Boston has had a tough few days, losing five of their last seven. They’re another MLB team on the bubble with not a lot to lose if they want to keep playing in September.
11. Minnesota Twins (Last Week's Rank: 10)
The Twins offense keeps them in almost every single game they play. But their division makes it hard for them to climb. Last week was tough for them, but they will bounce back.
10. Houston Astros (Last Week's Rank: 12)
The Astros were always going to win the AL West, but now we’re seeing their AL weakness. Last week, they lost their series to the Red Sox and split with the Orioles. They look really good in the division and average outside of it.
9. Arizona Diamondbacks (Last Week's Rank: 9)
The Diamondbacks are on a six-game win streak after sweeping the Marlins and the Red Sox. Arizona pushed past the Padres in the standings but have a few tough series ahead.
8. Kansas City Royals (Last Week's Rank: 8)
You have to give Kansas City credit; they’re doing a lot with a little. The Royals are 8-3 in their last 11, but they will have to fight every night over the last month to make the AL playoffs.
7. Cleveland Guardians (Last Week's Rank: 2)
The Guardians’ offense is holding them back. They got here because of their bats, and now they’ve gone cold, and so have the wins. Cleveland is 3-7 in their last ten games.
6. Baltimore Orioles (Last Week's Rank: 3)
The Orioles bullpen is crumbling, and it’s making things tougher for them. Their strength is how dominant the offense is from top to bottom.
5. San Diego Padres (Last Week's Rank: 6)
San Diego is back to being Slam Diego. This MLB team is dropping bombs left to right from every single player in the lineup.
4. Milwaukee Brewers (Last Week's Rank: 7)
Milwaukee is 8-3 in their last 11. Their offense just keeps getting it done, and it’s fun to watch and even better for their ten-game lead in the NL Central.
3. New York Yankees (Last Week's Rank: 5)
There’s a party going on in New York! Juan Soto is DJing, Jazz Chisolm is the special guest, Marcus Stroman is the head of security, and Aaron Judge is the star of the show. Nonetheless, this is the best party in the AL right now, and New York is not who you want to play right now.
2. Philadelphia Phillies (Last Week's Rank: 1)
The Philadelphia Phillies have proven their dominance, and their eyes are on the postseason. You can’t stop Philadelphia, and you won’t just outscore them if you can.
1. Los Angeles Dodgers (Last Week's Rank: 4)
It’s always been the Dodgers, and this team wins no matter who is on the field. Mookie Betts got hurt, and they won. Freddie Freeman got hurt, and they won. Unlike others, they do it with whoever.
