The All-Star Break is here, and MLB teams have proven who they are halfway through the season. So before the playoff push begins, here are this week’s MLB Power Rankings.
Which MLB teams gained momentum, and which ones are currently struggling?
30. Chicago White Sox (Last Week's Rank: 30)
It doesn’t get much worse than the Chicago White Sox, 3-10 in their last 13 games and one series win in the last month.
29. Colorado Rockies (Last Week's Rank: 29)
The Colorado Rockies season is over. They currently sit just 22 games behind the Dodgers at the All-Star break and continue to consistently lose.
28. Miami Marlins (Last Week's Rank: 28)
The Marlins are at the point where they are just competing with the Rockies and White Sox for the worst record in the league.

27. Oakland A’s (Last Week's Rank: 26)
The A’s played solid baseball this week, winning three of six games. They have a long road ahead of them after the All-Star break, but it all leads to Las Vegas.
26. Los Angeles Angels (Last Week's Rank: 27)
The Angels had a great week picking up a series win over the Mariners and winning four of seven games.
25. Toronto Blue Jays (Last Week's Rank: 25)
The Toronto Blue Jays should prepare for the trade deadline and not the postseason. While they’re eight games back from .500, they’re 13 games behind the Yankees in the AL East, who are in second place.

24. Washington Nationals (Last Week's Rank: 19)
The Washington Nationals are now playing how many people expected them; too badly. This team has struggled for weeks, just 6-14 in their last 20 games.
23. San Francisco Giants (Last Week's Rank: 18)
The Giants have lost five of their last eight games, and sit three games below .500 on the season. They too should be sellers at the deadline if they don’t turn things around quickly.
22. Chicago Cubs (Last Week's Rank: 24)
The Chicago Cubs are dominating in recent weeks, but the question still is, can they keep it up? This ball club is talented but inconsistent.
21. Cincinnati Reds (Last Week's Rank: 23)
This was a good week for the Reds. They picked up two series wins over the Marlins and Rockies, but that is expected. They won’t move up in the rankings until they can beat the best.
20. Detroit Tigers (Last Week's Rank: 22)
Yes, the Detroit Tigers are hot! But the MLB All-Star break is known to cool the hot teams off, and the Tigers have a way to climb back into the playoff race.
19. Tampa Bay Rays (Last Week's Rank: 17)
The Tampa Bay Rays snapped their slump this week, winning four of six games. They now sit at .500 but are still in 4th place in their own division.
18. Texas Rangers (Last Week's Rank: 21)
The Rangers are 7-2 in their last nine games. They also picked up an important series win over the Astros and will need to play like this for a few more weeks to make the playoffs.
17. Pittsburgh Pirates (Last Week's Rank: 20
Thanks to the Brewers’ struggles and a hot streak, the Pirates have found themselves back in the Playoff Race. It helps a lot to have a pitching staff that’s playing elite baseball at the moment.
16. St. Louis Cardinals (Last Week's Rank: 14)
The Cardinals veteran leadership has pushed them back into position to win their division. This team should be active at the trade deadline to add pieces when it looked like they’d be selling a few weeks ago.
15. Arizona Diamondbacks (Last Week's Rank: 16)
After this week, the Diamondbacks officially jumped the Padres to second place in the NL West. It might not be for long, but it’s impressive, considering their awful start to the season.
14. New York Mets (Last Week's Rank: 15)
The Mets keep streaking. This week they won five of six games and were lights out on the mound. I have this team earning a Wild Card spot in the NL Playoffs, as they likely won’t catch the Dodgers.
13. Seattle Mariners (Last Week's Rank: 12)
The Seattle Mariners were fool’s gold this year among the MLB teams. After holding the lead in the AL West for a majority of the season, the Astros are now one game back from them for the lead.
12. San Diego Padres (Last Week's Rank: 13)
The Padres are struggling without Fernando Tatis Jr., but his return will be soon. This lineup is dangerous, but dangerous doesn’t win games.
11. Houston Astros (Last Week's Rank: 11)
The Houston Astros are scratching and clawing their way back into the playoffs. They are also just one game behind Seattle for the AL West lead.
10. Kansas City Royals (Last Week's Rank: 9)
Kansas City has regressed in recent weeks, but the All-Star break should give them the break they need. With a solid offense and defense, the Royals will snap out of their current slump.
9. Boston Red Sox (Last Week's Rank: 10)
Don’t count out the Red Sox. They’re third in the AL East but 8th overall in the MLB, and 7-2 in the last ten games.
8. Milwaukee Brewers (Last Week's Rank: 6)
The Milwaukee Brewers’ struggles in recent weeks have allowed the St.Louis Cardinals to catch up to them in the NL Central. As a whole the division is bad, but the Brewers are being dragged down with it.
7. New York Yankees (Last Week's Rank: 8)
The New York Yankees are a disappointment, but they snapped their losing struggles this week. Nobody needs the All-Star break as badly as the Yankees.
6. Atlanta Braves (Last Week's Rank: 7)
The Atlanta Braves find ways to win games, and that’s all that matters, right? I’d be scared of this team in the playoffs because even without Ronald Acuna Jr, their veteran leadership shows.
5. Minnesota Twins (Last Week's Rank: 5)
The Twins quietly have a top-five offense in baseball and continue to just power through the rest of the league. While their four games behind Cleveland in the AL Central, they will likely pick up a wild card spot if they keep playing this well.
4. Baltimore Orioles (Last Week's Rank: 1)
The Baltimore Orioles had a terrible week heading into the All-Star break. This team looked like their minds were not focused on baseball all week, and their 1-5 record shows it.
3. Los Angeles Dodgers (Last Week's Rank: 2)
Like many of the other top teams in the MLB, it hasn’t been a good week for the Dodgers. In their defense, they are battling injuries, but losing a series to the Tigers is pathetic.
2. Cleveland Guardians (Last Week's Rank: 4)
The Clevland Guardians are shocking the world, but the shock factor should be over by now. This ball club is dangerous, and they continue to show it week by week.
1. Philadelphia Phillies (Last Week's Rank: 3)
There is no denying that the Philadelphia Phillies are the best team in baseball. Up to this point, they’ve won with their stars, without their stars, and they’ve played their best against the best.
