After some big series in Major League Baseball came to a close last week. The Power Rankings were shaken up again for almost every MLB team. Here’s this week’s Power Rankings.
Which MLB teams showed some promise in this week’s power rankings?
30. Chicago White Sox (Last Week's Rank: 30)
Just six games back from being the second-worst team in baseball, the White Sox went another week, winning just two games in seven days.
29. Colorado Rockies (Last Week's Rank: 29)
Things will not get any easier for the Colorado Rockies this season. But currently, they have the worst pitching staff in baseball. The group continues to allow five-plus runs a game.
28. Miami Marlins (Last Week's Rank: 27)
The Miami Marlins continue to search for life offensively. They’ve practically given up on the season after moving on from a few players last week and will not begin calling up prospects.

27. Los Angeles Angels (Last Week's Rank: 26)
Hope continues to fade for the red team in LA. This MLB team has found another losing streak at a bad time and fell to 15 games below .500 because of it.
26. Oakland A’s (Last Week's Rank: 28)
Last week, the A’s saw the power of their prospects as they earned a sweep over the Angels. For that, I rank them one spot higher as they dominated, winning 4-2 games last week.
25. Toronto Blue Jays (Last Week's Rank: 24)
The Toronto Blue Jays went 3-4 last week. To end their misery this season, this team should be huge sellers at the trade deadline.

24. Chicago Cubs (Last Week's Rank: 27)
The Cubs are another team that found a small hope of life last week. The team won their series against the Angels, and maybe it will be the spark they need going forward.
23. Cincinnati Reds (Last Week's Rank: 23)
The Reds swept their series against the Yankees, then completely fell off against the Tigers. It’s going to be a long season in Cincinnati.
22. Detroit Tigers (Last Week's Rank: 22)
The Detroit Tigers finished the week 4-2 and swept the Reds. Detroit is also six games below .500 but will have to fight through their division to even sniff the playoffs.
21. Texas Rangers (Last Week's Rank: 25)
My biggest question on the season will continue to be, where are the Texas Rangers? The Rangers have been a shell of what they were last season and nothing has seemed to work for the reigning World Series Champions.
20. Pittsburgh Pirates (Last Week's Rank: 21)
The Pittsburgh Pirates went 2-4 last week. The Pirates continue to underperform offensively, which is taking away from how good their pitching staff is.
19. Washington Nationals (Last Week's Rank: 19)
The Washington Nationals called up top prospect James Woods last week, which provided a small spark for the team. The Washington ball club is playing with house money as they have a chance to fight for the postseason while letting their young MLB team grow.
18. San Francisco Giants (Last Week's Rank: 15)
The Giants had a strong week going 4-2 overall, they continue to battle through adversity. I wouldn’t be surprised if they reach the playoffs.
17. Tampa Bay Rays (Last Week's Rank: 18)
The Tampa Bay Rays played a six-game road stretch last week, finishing 2-4 overall. They were swept by the Rangers in embarrassing fashion but now return home for a series with the struggling Yankees.
16. Arizona Diamondbacks (Last Week's Rank: 17)
The Arizona Diamondbacks are 6-2 in their last eight games. Arizona is putting wins together at the right time as they continue to fight through the NL West.
15. New York Mets (Last Week's Rank: 16)
The New York Mets were playing like their hair is on fire to end June. But since the month switched, they have cooled off. The Mets went 2-4 last week.
14. St. Louis Cardinals (Last Week's Rank: 13)
The St.Louis Cardinals have played to the level of their competition all season. But now they’re finding the win column. This MLB team is 7-4 in the last 11 games, playing well both offensively and defensively.
13. San Diego Padres (Last Week's Rank: 8)
The San Diego Padres have yet to show their full potential this season. While they’re four games above .500, they have a lot of work to do in order to catch the Dodgers, their division leader.
12. Seattle Mariners (Last Week's Rank: 14)
Seattle is just 2-8 in their last ten games and now holds just a two-game lead over the Astros. Their inconsistency has been their biggest weakness all season.
11. Houston Astros (Last Week's Rank: 11)
The Houston Astros have finally decided to show up to the party. This team is 13-4 in their last 17 games and continues to better their record week after week in the MLB.
10. Boston Red Sox (Last Week's Rank: 12)
The Boston Red Sox have a good week anytime they beat the Yankees, so last week was great. The pitching staff for Boston continues to keep this team in games.
9. Kansas City Royals (Last Week's Rank: 10)
The Kansas City Royals lost both of their series last week to the Rockies and the Rays. The once-hot team from the Midwest has cooled off over the last few weeks.
8. New York Yankees (Last Week's Rank: 6)
The New York Yankees slide has lasted for a few weeks now. This team has lost their last seven series and continues to lose by multiple runs. They need to snap out of this funk quickly.
7. Atlanta Braves (Last Week's Rank: 5)
Over the last few weeks, the Atlanta Braves have played really scrappy baseball. Since Ronald Acuna Jr.’s injury, they’ve continued winning while fighting for their playoff lives.
6. Milwaukee Brewers (Last Week's Rank: 4)
The Brewers just continue to fly under the radar. This week wasn’t their best, and they still sit five games above anyone else in their division.
5. Minnesota Twins (Last Week's Rank: 9)
The Minnesota Twins might be streaky, but the win streaks seem to last much longer than the losing streaks. They are dominating offensively and are putting a lot of MLB teams on notice.
4. Cleveland Guardians (Last Week's Rank: 7)
Nobody expected the Cleveland Guardians to be this good halfway through the season, but they continue to silence the doubters and win week after week.
3. Philadelphia Phillies (Last Week's Rank: 1)
The Philadelphia Phillies fell from the top spot after having a rough week without Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber. They will have to find some help from their reserves if they want to continue winning.
2. Los Angeles Dodgers (Last Week's Rank: 2)
The Los Angeles Dodgers went 3-3 last week, but unlike other teams. The Dodgers continuously find ways to win without their star Mookie Bets. Los Angeles is built for the postseason.
1. Baltimore Orioles (Last Week's Rank: 3)
Currently, the Baltimore Orioles are the best team in baseball. They rarely lose a series, and when they do, it’s against one of the best teams in baseball.
