As the weather heats up, so does the MLB. So here are this week’s MLB team power rankings as we approach the All-Star Break.
Which MLB teams gained some momentum before we get to the All-Star break?
30. Chicago White Sox (Last Week's Rank: 30)
It’s not getting any better in Chicago. Another week of being the worst team in the MLB.
29. Colorado Rockies (Last Week's Rank: 28)
The Rockies bullpen continues to be rocky. This team’s record is the result of their pitching staff. Their offense carries the load, but you have to wonder how long it will last before they totally implode.
28. Oakland Athletics (Last Week’s Rank: 26)
The A’s will be in a new city soon, and the move can’t come fast enough.

27. Miami Marlins (Last Week's Rank: 29)
The Marlins picked up two wins against the Phillies this week, so they will get bumped up in the power rankings now. Nothing is expected of this team, and the trade deadline should turn over a new leaf in Miami.
26. Los Angeles Angels (Last Week's Rank: 26)
Los Angeles got their star back in Mike Trout, but halfway through the season, all hope has been lost for the Angels. LA could request a king’s ransom for the former MVP but continue to hold on to the face of their franchise.
25. Texas Rangers (Last Week's Rank: 17)
The Rangers are falling because they’re a disappointment. After winning the World Series, much was expected of this team, yet they couldn’t get it together.

24. Toronto Blue Jays (Last Week's Rank: 25)
There’s only one thing I can say about the Toronto Blue Jays. It’s time for them to rebuild, so they should be very active at the trade deadline.
23. Cincinnati Reds (Last Week's Rank: 24)
The Reds are another team that began the MLB season looking like a contender but has proven to be a pretender.
22. Detroit Tigers (Last Week's Rank: 22)
The Tigers went 2-4 this week and picked up two huge wins against the Philadelphia Phillies. But then lost three of four to the Angels, this team plays to the level of their competition and it’s bad to watch.
21. Pittsburgh Pirates (Last Week's Rank: 23)
The Pirates are just three games below .500, but that doesn’t mean they’re good. The Pittsburgh offense is in the bottom five of all major statistics, and their pitching staff saves them daily.
20. Chicago Cubs (Last Week's Rank: 20)
After an incredible start to the season where the Cubs spent multiple weeks five games or more above .500. They now sit at 39-46. The Cubs are a dumpster fire.
19. Washington Nationals (Last Week's Rank: 18)
The Nationals playoff hopes are going up in flames like FireWorks. But their benefit is they will spend the second half of the season getting their young prospects some big-league experience.
18. Tampa Bay Rays (Last Week's Rank: 14)
The Tampa Bay Rays have continued to find success on the plate in recent weeks. Last week, they scored 29 runs in seven games.
17. Arizona Diamondbacks (Last Week's Rank: 15)
The Arizona Diamondbacks offense is leading the way for this ball club. They currently rank 9th in batting average and runs and will look for a pitcher to help their rotation at the trade deadline.
16. New York Mets (Last Week's Rank: 19)
The New York Mets are one of the hottest teams in baseball, going 13-4 in their last 17 games. This team is powered by the magic of grimace, and there’s no telling how good they can get in the MLB.
15. San Francisco Giants (Last Week's Rank: 21)
The Giants are slowly getting their groove back, just three games below .500. They’ve picked up huge wins this week, including series wins against the Dodgers and Cubs.
14. Seattle Mariners (Last Week's Rank: 8)
The Mariners have not looked good during the last two weeks, going 3-8 in eleven games. The drop-off has begun as they struggle to hold the lead in the AL West.
13. St. Louis Cardinals (Last Week's Rank: 13)
The Cardinals have a simple formula for winning games. When they’re pitching staff is doing well, they win. If not, they lose. In their last three wins, they’ve allowed just one run.
12. Boston Red Sox (Last Week's Rank: 11)
The Boston Red Sox could be considered a top five team in baseball, but I’m not sold on that potential. This MLB team is missing a few pieces in their offense which could be the difference in their playoff chances.
11. Houston Astros (Last Week's Rank: 16)
The Astros struggled early in the season, but as many people thought, they’re back. Houston has won 11 of their last 13 games and is just three games back from the lead in the AL West.
10. Kansas City Royals (Last Week's Rank: 9)
After their recent skid, the Royals found their winning ways again this week. They’ve gone 5-2 in their last seven games, and the two stars, Salvador Perez and Bobby Whitt Jr., have played like the All-Stars they are.
9. Minnesota Twins (Last Week's Rank: 12)
The Minnesota Twins are heating up at the right time by winning their last three series. Their offense has played like madmen, scoring 40 runs in just eight games.
8. San Diego Padres (Last Week's Rank: 10)
The Padres are feeling the relief of the Luis Arraez trade as they battle injuries. Even without a few stars in their lineup, they are 9-2 in their last 11 games.
7. Cleveland Guardians (Last Week's Rank: 4)
The Guardians had a tough week going 2-4. Since their division is so weak, they still sit four games above the rest.
6. New York Yankees (Last Week's Rank: 2)
The Yankees are slowly but surely losing their mojo. While Aaron Judge is playing at an MVP level, the rest of the team is just riding his coattail.
5. Atlanta Braves (Last Week's Rank: 7)
The Braves are another MLB team this week that’s had to prove their dominance without one of their best players. Since the injury to Ronald Acuna Jr., the Braves have continued to win despite the loss.
4. Milwaukee Brewers (Last Week's Rank: 6)
The Milwaukee Brewers offense is underrated, but it’s constantly leading this team to victory. They currently rank 7th in runs, 5th in batting average, and 4th in OBP.
3. Baltimore Orioles (Last Week's Rank: 5)
The Orioles snapped their five-game losing streak with a four-game winning streak. This team continues to impress as they’re one of the best teams in baseball.
2. Los Angeles Dodgers (Last Week's Rank: 3)
The Los Angeles Dodgers star power is carrying the team at the moment. Freddie Freeman and Shohei Ohtani are tearing the cover off the ball and making the team hard to beat, no matter what anyone else does.
1. Philadelphia Phillies (Last Week's Rank: 1)
Every week, the Phillies continue to prove that they can win in any way they need. This week, they had to do it without Bryce Harper, and they showed the league that they are dangerous no matter the lineup.
