One dollar beers may seem like a good idea, but that’s not always the case. Take what happened at this Frontier League baseball game, for example. During a game between the New Jersey Jackals and the Sussex County Miners, play had to be stopped when players from both teams rushed at fans in the stands who had been throwing their $1 beers at the players between innings.
Witnesses state that it was $1 beer night at Yogi Berra Stadium in Little Falls, New Jersey. And some fans got a little out of hand, throwing their beers at players during a break in the action. The players obviously didn’t take to kindly to that, so some of them rushed the stands and made their way up a few rows before nearly coming to blows with the spectators.
In the end, cooler heads prevailed and the game was able to resume, with the Miners winning by a score of 15-14.
