The worst pitch of the 2020 Major League Baseball season just happened on August 9, 2020.

Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Richard Rodríguez came into Sunday’s game with one of the top ERAs and WHIPs in the league among relief pitchers.

You wouldn’t know it with one pitch that went just a bit outside.

To be entirely fair, he actually got his cleat stuck in the mound and wasn’t able to get through his motion and ended up tossing the ball as far right as possible.
