A photo of Pete Rose taken the day before he died has surfaced on social media in the wake of his death.
The Cincinnati Reds legend was found dead at his residence in Clark County, Nevada, on Monday, according to officials.
The Clark County Coroner’s office could not be reached immediately, per Cincinnati.com, with the county spokeswoman who confirmed Rose’s death failing to provide any other details. Rose’s cause of death remains unknown; however, the family member who found him said the county medical examiner reported that there were no signs of foul play.
Rose was 83.
The former MLB star had not been in the care of a doctor at the time of his passing; his home is being examined amid an investigation into his death.

Court Filings Revealed That Pete Rose Was In Poor Health Several Years Ago
Rose is the MLB’s all-time hits leader. Considered to be one of the best players in league history, he was a 17-time All-Star who went on to manage the Reds following his retirement.
The MLB banned him for life after it was revealed that he had violated league rules by betting on his own team.
While there’s no indication of Rose being seriously ill at the time of his death, 2018 court filings related to his divorce claimed he was “in poor health and disabled.”
The filings also noted that he was on blood thinners and had undergone three heart procedures in five years while he struggled to walk.
“His health is deteriorating,” the documents added.
Still, he was a pretty busy man who continued to travel around the country for sports memorabilia shows and other events.
