For Mother’s day, the San Diego Padres wanted to do something special, but they clearly didn’t think it through when they decided to change their Twitter handle from @padres to @madres.
It didn’t take long for a Twitter user to notice this and completely jack them for their original Twitter handle.
Ricky Padilla is said to be a college baseball player for Calvin College, and once tweets started rolling in from people who thought they were contacting the actual team, hilarity ensued.
Ricky had his fun, but he would soon delete his account and another would take it and inform the team they could have it back whenever they were ready.
