Olivia Dunne’s boyfriend, Paul Skenes, could receive his majors call-up very soon following some impressive minor league performances.
The MLB’s top pitching prospect is dominating the minors in a way almost no one has before, with an ERA of 0.37 and 89 pitches thrown at over 100 mph in six starts, as well as a ridiculous 41 strikeouts.
A scout recently called the 22-year-old the best college pitcher he’s ever seen behind Stephen Strasburg. And it’s now believed that he will make his major league debut for the Pittsburgh Pirates against the Chicago Cubs.
Skenes is scheduled to play a minor league game this coming Sunday. But, according to Noah Hiles of The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, he is likely to debut against the Cubs on May 100.
While the announcement hasn’t been made official, it seems that that’s what the plan is right now.

Skenes was the No. 1 overall selection of the 2023 MLB Draft and, given his performances in the minors, there have been cries for him to be called up.
Paul Skenes Leads All Minor League Pitchers With His Pace
Paul Skenes was treated to national renown after transferring to LSU and leading the Tigers to a championship. He pitched 122 ⅔ innings with a 1.69 ERA in 19 starts for the program.
It’s also where he met Olivia Dunne, a star gymnast at Baton Rouge.
Skenes is known for his velocity and leads all minor league pitchers with 89 pitches of at least 100 mph. The Pirates have slowly increased his workload, as he pitched a career-high six innings in his last outing, with his previous high at 4 ⅓ innings.
Should things continue in that vein on Sunday, he will likely get that call in time for the game vs. Chicago.
