The two Yankees fans who were ejected from Game 4 of the World Series after prying a foul ball out of Dodgers right fielder Mookie Betts’s glove have now been identified.
Midway through the bottom of the first inning, Los Angeles Dodgers star Mookie Betts ran towards the right field line and the corner wall in an attempt to catch a foul ball from Yankees second baseman Gleyber Torres.
He caught that ball, but then one of the fans in the front row pried open the outfielder’s glove as the ball popped loose while the other grabbed the Dodgers star’s other hand.
The eight-time MLB All-Star was pissed as he yelled at the ump near him. The umpire ruled out Torres via fan interference.
Videos on social media afterward showed the two fans being escorted out of Yankee Stadium by security as they exchanged high-fives with fellow New York fans.
It only took a few hours for those fans to be found and identified.
“Meet Austin Capobianco (middle), the fan that interfered with Mookie. I was talking to him at a local bar when a bunch of other fans asked him to take a pic with him and for his autograph. He was a beaut. Story up soon at ESPN: ‘If it’s in our area, we’re going to ‘D’ up,'” ESPN writer Jesse Rogers wrote.

The Dodgers entered Tuesday’s game with a 3-0 lead in the series, and they jumped up 2-0 immediately when Freddie Freeman hit a two-run homer in the first inning.
The fan incident seemingly changed the tide of the game, as the Yankees came storming back in a game that turned into a blowout.
Yankees Fan Ejected From Game 4 Speaks Out After Mookie Betts Incident
A pair of New York Yankees fans tried their best to stop Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts, but instead, they found themselves being ejected.
Two Yankees fans sitting in the front row near the foul pole in right field were called for fan interference after prying Betts’ glove open to release the foul ball he had just caught.
“I’ve never seen anything like that,” Betts told reporters afterward. “But there’s always a first time for a first.”
The Yankees fan who tried to rip Betts’ glove off was identified as Austin Capobianco, and his younger brother, Darren, told The Athletic that Betts was swearing at them.
“I just see the ball kind of — I don’t want to say [go] up for grabs, if that makes sense,” Darren Capobianco said, via The Athletic. “And then Mookie was swearing at us. Not good.”
Austin declined to comment on the incident to The Athletic via text message. He said he just wanted to “watch the game.”
