Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani recorded the MLB’s first 50-50 in league history.
Ohtani landing 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases in a single season is not only mind-boggling, but it comes with a ton of money to be made.
Ohtani hit multiple home runs as the Dodgers destroyed the Miami Marlins, but none were more significant than the seventh-inning blast that sealed the historic deal.
It was an excellent moment for Shohei Ohtani but a terrible one for a Miami Marlins fan.
The replay showed a male fan who had two chances at making history after Ohtani’s home run ball fell within inches of his grasp before bouncing away.
So, how much did that fan miss out on?

“Just an incredible piece of history,” Dillon Kohler of SCP Auctions told NBC Local. “I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s $300,000-plus, maybe even over half a million dollars.”
Ouch. Double ouch.
In a time of crazy inflation, high groceries, and nothing going down, that is some much-needed money to have in this economy.
The Los Angeles Dodgers star became the first player in Major League Baseball history to have 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases in a single season. That home run sent a piece of baseball memorabilia and a lottery ticket into the leftfield stands.
Fan Who Caught Shohei Ohtani’s Historic 50-50 Home Run Ball Refuses To Give It Back
The fan who caught Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani’s 50th home run ball Thursday night at Miami’s loanDepot Park refused to give it back.
MLB Network’s Craig Mish reported Thursday that the fan went into a “discussion” with the Dodgers organization after the game, but he decided to walk out of loanDepot Park on Thursday night with the baseball, knowing he can get so much more than what they were willing to give him.
In the game, Ohtani went 6-for-6 against the Miami Marlins with three home runs, two stolen bases, and 10 RBIs.
