Not much has gone right for the Chicago White Sox in the 2023 season. If they’re to climb out of their 25-35 hole, they’ll need some luck on their side.

The White Sox are on a mini roll with victories in three of their last four games now. Playing in baseball’s weakest division obviously doesn’t hurt their chances of making a strong second-half run at the postseason. They’ll wrap up their home series against the Detroit Tigers on Sunday afternoon.
The 41-year-old Blaser has been an MLB umpire since 2010, debuting as a 29-year-old. He was an umpire for the 2017 and 2023 World Baseball Classic tournaments, the 2019 ALCS, the 2020 NLCS and the 2018 MLB All-Star Game.
Here’s hoping for a safe and speedy recovery for Blaser.
