Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees had a great run to the World Series, but the Dodgers prevailed in the end. Judge led his team to success in several crucial games, but their World Series loss is still unforgettable.
The Yankees and their captain are trying to put their loss behind them by looking forward to a better 2025 season. However, it keeps coming back again to haunt them. As it turns out, a few Dodgers players were discussing their World Series success on Mookie Betts’ podcast.
According to ESPN journalist Buster Olney, a handful of Dodger players were poking fun at the Yankees for their 2024 World Series performance. While the Dodgers were probably discussing the team’s faults, Olney felt that Yankees stars wouldn’t do the same.

Olney says Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton and Anthony Volpe wouldn't have "crapped on the Dodgers" had they won. Do you agree? pic.twitter.com/53RZmTPrQz
“If the Yankees had won, Aaron Judge wouldn’t have crapped on the Dodgers. Giancarlo Stanton and Anthony Volpe wouldn’t have crapped on the Dodgers had they won,” Olney said via baseball tonight.
It’s not the first time Dodgers stars have criticized the Yankees for their World Series performance. Previously, Chris Taylor and Joe Kelly called out the team for their performance.
“Handful of other Dodgers who are chirping know better than anyone how hard their sport is to play, and they’re better than this. Why not bask in the glory of an incredible World Series win from the high ground?” Olney said.

Aaron Judge And The Yankees Continue Their Hot Pursuit For Free Agents
Olney may have made a point with his statement, after all. It’s uncommon to see players like Aaron Judge criticizing others. The same can be said for Giancarlo Stanton and Anthony Volpe. Judge, in particular, is renowned for his respect for other players.
The Yankees had a long run to the World Series, and their loss is a tough burden to bear. To make things better, the Yanks continue their hot pursuit for free agents in this off-season. The Bronx Bombers are closing in on Juan Soto, but the Mets are equally a huge favorite to sign the slugger.
Apart from Soto, they have been linked to Walker Buehler, Cody Bellinger, and several other stars. Recently, the Yanks are believed to have been linked to Nolan Arenado and Ryan Helsely.
