The Los Angeles Dodgers have re-signed Kike Hernandez just before they could enter spring training. Hernandez, who helped the team in the playoffs, has been a favorite to return in Dodger Blue. Despite the competition with a few teams in pursuit of Hernandez, the Dodgers won the race again.
Dave Roberts and his team brought back several sluggers from last season. Hernandez was expected to return as they could use his defensive flexibility. The utility player was keen on a reunion with the Dodgers. Likewise, the franchise was looking at various options to bring him back.

Hernandez’s teammates are happy to have him back on their squad. Dodgers pitcher Brusdar Graterol took to social media to react to his signing. Graterol shared an image on Instagram with him and Hernandez in the locker room. The pitcher tagged Hernandez and shared an emoji of two rings.
Miguel Rojas also took to social media to share an image of Hernandez and himself. Rojas tagged the image and wrote, “Mi hermano is back.”
