The New York Mets have spent a bomb on Juan Soto after creating history for the biggest deal in MLB. Soto’s $765 million deal has landed him for the rest of his career. What makes it more remarkable is that there are no deferred payments. While it might seem feasible for Steven Cohen, it’s still a huge amount.
The Mets were practically waiting for Soto to accept their offer. Cohen knew that he topped every team with the best deal. Yet, they were not too interested in signing Corbin Burnes and Max Fried. Juan Soto had cost the team a lot, and they were not really interested in both pitchers.
According to Mets beat reporter Tim Healey, the latest report is that the Mets are not expected to sing Burnes. It’s too late for Fried since the Yankees already got their hands on him. Reacting to the team’s lack of interest in Burnes, MLB fans quickly took to social media with trolling remarks.

WFAN Host Keith McPherson Calls Out Juan Soto For Choosing Money Over The Yankees
Several MLB fans and others have called out Juan Soto for choosing money over the Yankees. Recently, WFAN host Keith McPherson called out the All-Star for picking the almighty dollar instead of the Bronx Bombers.
“The Yankees are so famous, they don’t need the names on the back of their jerseys. “Juan Soto spat on that. Soto looked at the Yankee pinstripes, the Bleacher Creatures, the roll call, being the first Dominican in Monument Park…he laughed at all that,” Keith said. “That wasn’t what he was looking for. It was all about the almighty dollar,” McPherson said.
The radio host also stated that Soto was not ready to live in Aaron Judge’s shadow. The Mets were in on Soto from the beginning and got exactly what they wanted. On the other hand, many believe the price was too steep, even for a generational player like Soto. The Mets broke the record to give Soto the biggest contract in sports.
