Kyle Hendricks Enters The Tail End Of His Career
Hendricks just entered the tail end of his career with the Angels. Although Hendriks has a one-year deal, it’s time for him to pick up the pace to stay alive in the game. Hendricks had a rough 2024 season.
Hendricks posted a miserable 5.92 ERA with a 4-12 record for the Cubs. At 34 years old, he must prove himself to the Angels. Moreover, a possible extension is questionable, and not all teams would want to sign a struggling pitcher of his age.
Kyle Hendricks was comfortable with the Cubs, but he’s gone to a team that is struggling worse than Chicago. Notably, he was at his peak in 2016 when the Cubs won the World Series. Since then, his performance has not been up to par.
While Hendricks has signed with a team, several other free agents, including Blake Snell, are waiting for opportunities.
