The Los Angeles Dodgers are one of the hottest teams this offseason. The franchise added several key players to its 40-man roster and retained its stars from last season. Dave Roberts and his squad are eyeing another World Series title by bolstering their team.
Their latest acquisition was Korean utility star Hyeseong Kim. The franchise offered him a three-year contract worth $12.5 million. Kim will also have a club option for 2028 and 2029. The 25-year-old has been a part of the Kiwoom Heroes and has played for the KBO league throughout his career.
Kim is the only KBO star to win a Golden Glove Award at second base and shortstop. The slugger will now get to showcase his skills alongside Shohei Ohtani. While everything seems good on the Dodgers’ front, MLB fans couldn’t help but troll the team for their latest signing. Fans called out the team for their deferred money.

Shohei Ohtani Helped The Dodgers Secure Deal With Hyeseong Kim
Shohei Ohtani has played a crucial role in persuading Hyeseong Kim to join the Boys in Blue. Ohtani reportedly met with Kim before the deal could break out and gave him some advice on his free agency.
After Ohtani’s advice, Kim picked the Dodgers despite having less money for a short-term deal. Ohtani seems to be helping the team off-field during this offseason. Reports suggest that Kim received a better contract with the San Diego Padres but chose to decline it.
It’s great to be a part of one of the best teams in the league right now. Kim will also be happy to play alongside Ohtani. MLB rumors continue to swirl around the Dodgers as Clayton Kershaw is expected to return.
