Alex Bregman’s free agency saga has finally come to an end after he agreed to a three-year deal with the Boston Red Sox. Tigers fans are upset as Breggy chose Boston as his next home. The Blue Jays, Cubs, and Astros have failed to secure a deal. Astros fans had their last hopes for Bregman to return with their last offer.
Bregman was keen on signing a long-term deal worth close to $200 million. The All-Star slugger turned down Houston’s offer and settled for a short-term deal instead. Scott Boras finally managed to give his agent what he wanted just before spring training.

Alex Bregman’s Contract Includes Opt-Outs After The First Year
Bregman sealed a strong deal with the Red Sox after a long wait. The slugger will get $40 million per year and opt-outs after the first and second seasons. The two-time World Series champion has a great chance to secure his future if he performs well in Boston.
Bregman might remain in Boston, but there are chances for him to opt-out after a year or two. The Red Sox have a better chance of making the playoffs after adding Breggy. It’s a sad day for Astros fans, especially after his strong connection with the team.
