Major League Baseball fans are fighting about whether a ball that was meant for a kid should’ve been given to him after he missed the catch and a Dodgers fan picked it up.

All this young Philadelphia Phillies fan wanted was a baseball thrown to him by Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Cody Bellinger. In the ninth inning, that moment finally came and that young fan would walk away heartbroken.

When Bellinger finally let one fly into the Citizens Bank Park bleachers, it overshot this 10-year-old’s mitt by only a few inches. An older Dodgers fan took that souvenir for himself.

That said, we recognize how privileged we are to attend @MLB games. And it’s a reminder that being a sports fan, especially one in Philadelphia, comes with a lot of heartbreak.
