Freddie Freeman needs all the prayers he can use amid uncompromising family news.
The Los Angeles Dodgers star first baseman had more to think about than the loss the team had endured against the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday night.
Following the game, Freddie Freeman’s wife, Chelsea Freeman, stated he raced from Dodger Stadium to a nearby emergency room to be with their sick son.
Chelsea Freeman took to her Instagram story just before her husband and his team took on the Giants to state Maximus, the couple’s youngest boy, needed a prayer after he had come down with what doctors believed was transient synovitis.
TMZ reported that the ailment, which causes extreme pain and discomfort in the hip, may have stemmed from a viral infection the 3-year-old contracted during the family’s trip to the All-Star Game in Texas earlier this month.
Hours later, Chelsea’s concern heightened as she stated she ended up needing to take the toddler to the ER.

She added that Freddie Freeman joined them right after the Dodgers lost 8-3 to the Giants. The concerned parents reportedly stayed with their son in a hospital room until around 3:30 AM PT.
Chelsea later stated Maximus’ prognosis was looking good.
“They ran a ton of tests & bloodwork panels that thank God they all came back negative,” she wrote. “No infection or active virus.”
