Meghan King Edmonds has finally given her first in-depth interview amid her messy split from husband Jim Edmonds. Meghan recently spoke to Us Weekly and opened up after her estranged former MLB husband released a statement that denied all infidelity rumors and saying he was “saddened tremendously” that Meghan was hurting.
“I have to say that when he gave the ‘nice’ interview a few days ago, he was completely speaking for me,” Meghan began. “At that time I had not exchanged one text message with him and I have still not spoken to him on the phone — He is not my mouthpiece, and I believe the facade he presented is false and manipulative to the public while using and taking advantage of me.”
“I have endured prolific controlling by Jim and it isn’t slowing down. Even when I make an unassuming post on Instagram, he hurls insults at me for a battery of made-up indiscretions. I’m sick of the abuse and I won’t engage anymore — and I don’t have to,” she stated.
The former “Real Housewives of Orange County” revealed in a candid blog post that accused Jim had been “drinking and partying with much younger women, including several of our babysitters.”
“I found this gallivanting inappropriate, immature, and downright odd,” Meghan said.
Meghan explained in her blog, “When I learned of a particular outing with a babysitter, this time, to a hockey game, that Jim repeatedly lied about, I asked him to include me on all future texts with this sitter but he said, ‘No.’ Another major red flag.”
She added, “I don’t know if Jim slept with our babysitter or whether they were just being exceedingly inappropriate by hanging out socially without either of them telling me (and Jim expressly lying to me about it).”

Meghan also shut down any speculation that they are working on their marriage, saying, “He is not my mouthpiece, and I believe the facade he presented is false and manipulative to the public while using and taking advantage of me.”
Publicly, Jim has stated he wants to work on their marriage but he was the one who filed for divorce after Meghan allegedly confronted him about taking their nanny, Carly Wilson, to a hockey game.
Jim denied it and even claimed Wilson, who is 22, is “like our own child.”
“My husband has seven children so I don’t understand why or how he’d see a hired childcare provider as an additional child,” Meghan said. “To call her a daughter flagrantly crosses the lines of a professional relationship with respectable boundaries. I understand that to bring a nanny into our home is to embrace them as a member of our family in some ways, but the ‘daughter’ reference is still perplexing.”
Meghan said it appears to her that Jim was “waiting for an event to happen so he could pull the trigger.”
“Divorce had been discussed as something that could be possible but I truly thought he could change and work through his demons,” she admitted, adding that she had to find a lawyer in a matter of hours. “Divorce never really crossed my mind. He filed so quickly that it seems to me (and others) it had been ready to go.”
“It saddens me that the father of my children would so hostilely and haughtily say I should be worried about money, even during a time of anger,” Meghan said in response. “I don’t see that as putting our children first which has and always will be my first priority.”
