Former New York Mets star Matt Harvey is reportedly waking up these days without his girlfriend after she decided to leave him for a strange reason.
According to Page Six, Harvey is no longer dating Australian model Monika Clarke because he has become too obsessed with working his new job and apparently does not have time for a girlfriend at the moment.
“It just didn’t make sense overall,” a source told Page Six. “He just became obsessed with his new job.”
It was earlier this Summer when Harvey announced that he was pursuing a career in commercial real estate.
“I’ve always been interested in the many different aspects of real estate,” Harvey told the New York Post. “By joining an incredibly successful firm such as Newmark, I will be able to learn and grow from some of the best in the industry.”
The former New York Mets star and the model had been inseparable throughout most of the summer months. However, their romantic connection seems to have cooled down, unable to withstand the intensity of his new love now that his baseball days are long gone.

Once regarded as a prodigy, Harvey faced a suspension after openly admitting to using cocaine and pain medication during his tenure with the Mets.
He has since changed his life around by working as a real estate executive, securing a position with the prominent property firm Newmark. In May, it was reported that Harvey had a new role as a managing director within Newmark’s Capital Markets Strategies division.
Harvey has had relationships with a series of celebrities, including Adriana Lima, Victoria’s Secret Angel Devon Windsor, and Sports Illustrated model Anne V, among others. Basically, he will land on his feet with somebody else.
Harvey, a former NL Comeback Player of the Year, announced his retirement from baseball in May.
