Baseball Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr. has found an awesome way to keep himself involved in the professional sports industry.
On Wednesday, soccer legend Lionel Messi made his highly-anticipated home debut for Inter Miami CF against Nashville. During the broadcast, cameras cut to “The Kid” working as a photographer for the game:

Griffey Jr. spent 22 seasons in the majors, spent with the Seattle Mariners (1989-99 and 2009-2010), Cincinnati Reds (2000 to 2008) and Chicago White Sox (2008). The 13-time All-Star put the Mariners on the baseball map in the ’90s, helping them to a 1995 ALCS appearance and another playoff berth in 1997.
Griffey Jr. led the AL in home runs on four occasions and won a ridiculous 10 Gold Glove Awards to go along with seven Silver Slugger Awards and 1997 AL MVP honors.

The Mariners’ legend finished with 630 home runs, placing him seventh all-time behind only Barry Bonds (762), Hank Aaron (755), Babe Ruth (714), Albert Pujols (703), Alex Rodriguez (696), and Willie Mays (660).
In Oct. 2021, Griffey Jr. returned to the Mariners and became a member of the club’s ownership group. The Mariners are currently tied with the Houston Astros for first place in the AL West.
