Anything is possible with the MLB trade deadline looming.
The Houston Astros are among the top candidates to land Justin Verlander at the MLB trade deadline, but it seems the long-time ace might be headed to other notable team. The Los Angeles Dodgers have emerged as a potential favorite for Verlander.
Just a few days ago, Verlander’s wife, Kate Upton, shared a series of photos that had fans thinking she was alluding to his next stop.
“Blue might be my new favorite color.”
After Mets’ All-Star Max Scherzer was shipped off to the Texas Rangers in exchange for a 21-year-old prospect, it seems as if the Mets have hit the reset button.
One can only speculate that it could cost Houston just a couple of minor-league prospects to make this trade happen. The Dodgers have way more to work with, so they would be fighting an uphill battle to get Verlander back in town.

Many Houston fans would rejoice at Verlander returning to the Astros starting rotation, especially considering the voids needed to be filled due to injuries sustained in 2023.
One thing is certain, it’s going to be a very exciting next 36 hours.
