Los Angeles Dodgers star pitcher Julio Urias was arrested for a domestic violence incident this past Sunday and remains away from the team.
TMZ disclosed some additional information on Thursday that sheds light on the arrest and what took place ahead of it.
According to the publication, and per their sources, the 27-year-old was seen shoving a woman into a fence at Los Angeles’s BMO Stadium on the day. This is understood to have taken place in the wake of the soccer match between LAFC and Inter Miami.
The report notes that the altercation was initially broken up by stadium workers and Urias then went into a car with the woman before things got heated again. Police officers arrived on the scene and got Urias and the female out of the car, eventually arresting the MLB star.
He was booked around 1:00 AM on Monday morning and posted a $50,000 bail fee after spending around four hours behind bars.
Urias’s last outing came on September 1. He has been away from the team while the MLB investigates the allegations.
