Fans think Juan Soto had to take a dump during his appearance for the San Diego Padres against the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday night.
The outfielder held up the game as he was nowhere in sight heading into the bottom of the ninth inning. With the contest tied at 3-3, there was a delay when the umpires realized there was no one in left infield.
A visibly embarrassed Soto later came running out of the dugout, grinning while fixing his belt.
“We don’t have a left fielder, is this the big leagues?” one of the announcers was heard asking.
Fans had all the jokes after seeing this all unfold live and took to Twitter with the only theory that seemed plausible. You could take a look at some of their reactions right below:

Better safe than sorry, right? The embarrassment of fans knowing you needed to poop vs. the embarrassment of pooping your pants during a game – we’d say the former wins every time.
Having said that, the Padres are lucky the umpires held up the game. The officials could have allowed them to throw the ball a man short to their detriment. But the Giants won’t mind too much now as they won 4-3.
Soto ended the game with two hits, and probably a flush.
