The name Josh Hader hasn’t really been trending since a bunch of his old homophobic and racist tweets were unearthed from his Twitter account.
Here’s what some of the Tweets read:
“White power lol”
“KKK”
“N—–bot? The (expletive)! That just made my night! Smh”
“I hate gay people.”
Hader is back in the news this week, but for what he said after the Milwaukee Bucks boycotted their game against the Orlando Magic amid the police shooting of Jacob Blake.
The Milwaukee Brewers reliever apologized for his actions in 2018 while vaguely mentioning rap lyrics as a reason as well as being young.
“I was 17 years old, and as a child I was immature, and obviously I said some things that were inexcusable,” Hader told reporters in the visitors’ clubhouse at Nationals Park here. “That doesn’t reflect on who I am as a person today.”

“I’m deeply sorry for what I’ve said,” Hader said on Tuesday, adding later, “I’m ready for any consequences that happen for what happened seven years ago.”
“Just came in, and my phone was blowing up,” he said. “You can’t, there’s no excuse for what was said. I’m deeply sorry for what I’ve said and what’s been going on, and like I said, it doesn’t reflect any of my beliefs going on now.”
Soon after the Bucks made their decision to boycott, the Brewers followed suit and boycotted their game against the Reds as well.
Jacob Blake survived being shot seven times, but he is paralyzed from the waist down.
