The MLB is gearing up for the 2023 season, with spring training fully underway.
Teams are getting a good look at their rosters in an effort to both strengthen and cut deadwood ahead of the inbound campaign.
With regards to the latter, Josh Bell doesn’t appear to be such a player, having joined the Cleveland Guardians in December. Bell signed a two-year deal worth $33 million with the team following spells with the Pittsburgh Pirates, Washington Nationals, and San Diego Padres.
The first baseman was in action in Arizona this week, taking to the field against the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday. He had fans going wild on social media after he hit a home run that produced a loud, cracking sound as the baseball soared over the field wall and bounced off a patio before zinging out of the park.

While lots of fans were impressed, many wondered why the switch hitter did not put in such performances while he was with San Diego.
Bell’s hitting fell from .301/.384/.493 to 192/.316/.271 after he joined the Padres and he saw his playing time reduced in the playoffs. Cleveland fans will be excited after this cracking home run, though.
