Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez ripped Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson following their fight on Saturday night.
The biggest baseball brawl that we have ever seen went down in the bottom of the sixth inning as the White Sox led 5-1. Ramirez slid into second base underneath Anderson’s legs. The two had words and the gloves came off. Ramirez dropped Anderson as the two fought and were later separated.
After six ejections and the game was over, Ramirez had words for Anderson.
After the game, Ramírez said through an interpreter after the game he told Anderson earlier in the game he was tagging players too hard, which included the play that had them fighting.
“As soon as the play happened, he tapped me again really hard, more than needed. And then his reaction was like ‘I want to fight’ and if he wanted to fight I had to defend myself,” Ramírez said. “I felt I was able to land one.”

Anderson was in no mood to speak after the game.
Regardless of the cause or outcome, both players can expect multi-game suspensions from MLB in the coming days.
Chicago won the game 7-4 as it drastically hurts the Guardians in their playoff race, which won’t help matters when they lose Jose Ramirez to a long suspension over this fight.
