A new video shows just how brutal of a punch Cleveland Guardians’ star José Ramírez delivered to Tim Anderson of the Chicago White Sox on Saturday night.
Anderson and Ramírez got into a brawl following an RBI double by the latter in the bottom half of the sixth inning that broke Chicago’s bid for a shutout. Anderson and Ramírez exchanged words after the latter beat the tag at second for a double.
That led to an intense bench-clearing brawl between the two teams, including a hard punch by Ramírez that knocked Anderson down.
A new angle with a slow motion shows just how nasty of a right hook Ramírez got on Chicago’s star shortstop.
Both Ramírez and Anderson were ejected following the brawl. The White Sox held off Cleveland’s rally and managed to win 7-4 in this heated AL Central division showdown.
