The Los Angeles Dodgers couldn’t stop boasting after winning the World Series against the Yankees. It’s common for a World Series winner to brag about their success. However, the team took it to another level by trolling the Yankees for their defensive struggles.
Yankees fans were unhappy with how their team was trolled, especially with Aaron Judge. Several fans called out the team for their comments after the World Series win. With a new season just underway, some players still remember the team’s comments.
In a recent video, former Yankees slugger Jon Berti called out the Dodgers for their unprofessional comments.
“I don’t know if I ever really heard a World Series winning team talk as badly as they did about the World Series losing team. We were being disrespected to the point of life, where we didn’t even belong to be in the World Series. The Yankees won a lot of games last year, and we won our division. We deserve to be there, but unfortunately, we didn’t perform at our best, especially from probably the defensive standpoint and the base running standpoint,” Berti said.

The utility player further stated the Yankees would want to improve. Berti believes the Yankees were disrespected for losing the World Series.
Dodgers Eye Their Second Consecutive World Series Title
As they enter 2025, the Boys in Blue are targeting their second-straight World Series title. The franchise has built an incredible pitching staff after pursuing free agents this offseason. The addition of Blake Snell and Roki Sasaki has made them one of the best starting rotations in the league.

Two-way star Shohei Ohtani is also going to pitch in 2025. Additionally, they have brought back top sluggers like Teoscar Hernandez. Dave Roberts and his squad are sure to make it to the playoffs with the strong team they have built.
However, they will have a tough challenge against National League rivals such as the Mets and the Phillies. Currently, the Dodgers are one of the huge favorites to win the World Series even before the season started. From the trade front, the Mets have agreed to a two-year deal with Pete Alonso. It is also rumored that the Yankees will sign a former Detroit Tigers pitcher.
