When it comes to playing baseball, brawls between teams can be common if the opposing pitcher beans a player on a team or even if he slightly misses.
Whether or not the batter is actually hit by the pitch, it’s only natural for him to be angry.
Game 2 of Japan’s NPB All-Star Series on Thursday began with Hiroshima Carp pitcher Aren Kuri throwing to Orix Buffaloes outfielder Yutaro Sugimoto, but his pitch went right past his head.
Sugimoto immediately dropped his bat and sprinted toward Kuri. However, neither player wanted to fight.
Sugimoto stretched out his arms and gave Kuri a big hug.
Slow motion of the video seems to suggest that Kuri may have thought Sugimoto was legitimately angry as he ripped off his glove and threw his arms out.

The last camera angle also shows Kuri’s face just before Sugimoto went in for the hug, and he was not smiling.
Game one of the Nippon Professional Baseball All-Star Series saw the Pacific win 8-1. Game 2 was much of the same as Pacific won 6-1.
