Chicago Cubs pitcher Hayden Wesneski has left baseball fans in awe after one of his spring performances.
The MLB season is drawing nearer so there will be a whole lot of mind-boggling content to drool over. Wesneski, though, is getting his in early.
The 25-year-old right-hander is keen on proving he can be a starter in Chicago next season and he may have just convinced his manager that he should be.
Wesneski made his final start of the spring against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday and struck out five batters in his five innings, giving up just a single run.

Wesneski was drafted by the New York Yankees out of the sixth round in 2019 before a trade that sent him to Chicago, with NY dealing him in exchange for relief pitcher Scott Effross last August.
He was assigned to the Iowa Cubs and later promoted, making his MLB debut in a game in which he pitched five scoreless innings and eight strikeouts.
