Freddie Freeman hurt his ankle at the end of September while playing against the Padres. The Dodgers star had struggled with pain, but he still showed up for the World Series and helped the Dodgers win against the Yankees.
Without Freeman, the Dodgers would not have won game one of the World Series. Freeman won the World Series MVP award and is all set to continue his success for the team in 2025. However, his ankle discomfort might cause him to miss spring training.
While Freddie Freeman has recovered from his injury, he wants to play it safe to be prepared for the regular season. The Dodgers would not want to risk one of their best players, as they need him to be in full form. Freeman stated that he would take live BP and workouts but skip spring training.
“I don’t think I will be in the games at the beginning. It looks like I’m going to start a running progression right when I get to spring training. As of right now, I am on track to be able to play in Tokyo,” Freeman said via Dodgers Nation.

“Once he gets to spring training and we see where the throwing program is, I’ll think we’ll just go from there,” Roberts said.
Freddie Freeman will take it slow but will prepare for the series in Tokyo. It’s unsure if Ohtani will pitch in Tokyo as of now. The Dodgers are already predicted to win their second-straight World Series title. The Boys in Blue were one of the most active teams this off-season. On the other hand, teams like the Padres have not been too active. Players like Manny Machado have been upset with their progress.
