Alex Bregman has a solid career to reflect upon. After hitting the free agency market, it’s only natural for teams to go all in for the star slugger. Bregman has the numbers to back him, especially when it comes to the postseason.
Bregman is in demand and is likely to sign with a team this winter. The Houston Astros are predicted to re-sign their Two-Time World Series Champion. Yet, the market for a third baseman is expected to hit the sky in the coming weeks. Bregman can play both third base and shortstop, but most of all, his outstanding numbers make him unique.
In a recent podcast on Foul Territory, former Yankees catcher Erik Kratz praised Alex Bregman for his incredible performance at the plate. Kratz also believes that the Astros will sign Bregman.
“I’m saying he’s going back to Houston, but what he would bring to another team, you guys hit on it. How many guys do what he does in the playoffs, yes push that aside. This guy has never struck out a hundred times in one season,” Kratz said.
Kratz further touched upon Bregman’s numbers, which stand out from several other sluggers.
“He is a career 132 OPS plus under a 100 strikeouts. This guy is consistently putting together at-bat that the rest of the team can feed off of,” Kratz continued.

Tigers, Yankees, And Blue Jays Show Interest In Alex Bregman
The Astros are not the only team waiting to sign Alex Bregman. The New York Yankees are rumored to keep Bregman as a backup in case they fail to sign Juan Soto. Additionally, the Detroit Tigers are predicted to surpass the Astros’ offer to get Bregman.
Apart from those teams, the Blue Jays are now in the mix. The Blue Jays are involved with several players, and Bregman is the latest addition. The only issue is that the Blue Jays must match the Astros’ offer or go beyond to get the star slugger.
Bregman is soon expected to have a number of options to pick from. The Astros and Yankees are among the top teams believed to go all in for Bregman this offseason.
