Juan Encarnacion is in some serious trouble over some damning and disturbing allegations.
The former Major League Baseball outfielder has been arrested for sexually assaulting his daughter in the Dominican Republic, according to a report. ESPN is reporting he is being held without bond.
The girl’s mother claimed to authorities that the 45-year-old entered his daughter’s room in May while she slept, then assaulted her.
“The prosecution argues that Encarnacion, 45, entered the room of the minor while she was sleeping and touched private areas of her body, committing the sexual assault for which he is accused.
The prosecution’s accusation formally establishes that Encarnacion’s actions violated numerals 1 and 2 of Article 332 of the Dominican Penal Code, which refer to incest and carry a maximum penalty of up to 15 years in prison.”
His daughter was not named, and is a minor.
He faces 15 years in prison if convicted.
