Aaron Judge is the face of the New York Yankees, and his role on the team is unmatched. Despite Juan Soto having a strong 2024 season in the Bronx, Judge has more connection with the team. Yankees fans loved Soto, but his choice to join their crosstown rival has stirred much hate.
Judge turned down other better offers to remain with the Yankees. Unsurprisingly, Soto did not do the same. As many believe, Soto could be overshadowed by the Yankees captain if he remains in the Bronx. On the other hand, he has a better shot at shining with the Mets, as compared to Francisco Lindor.
Former Mets and Yankees star Dellin Betances stated that the Yankees are Aaron Judge’s team. Betances mentioned that Soto has a chance with the Mets and will not take anything from Lindor.
“I think him going to the Mets he gets to be that guy right. Him being in the Yankees if he signed whatever was 14 or 15 year deal, it’s Judge’s team regardless. That’s just the way I see it and not that Judge is a subject to anybody right? You can see about his success they had last year but Soto has that chance to be the guy in the Mets and not taking anything for Lindor,” Betances said.

Aaron Judge Receives Huge Praise From Ron Darling
Judge had an outstanding season for the Bronx Bombers in 2024. While some say that his playoff performance was a bit downhill, in truth, he did perform. The All-Star had one of the best seasons and carried his team forward in crucial games.
Recently, Mets Hall of Famer Ron Darling heaped huge praise on the Yankees captain. When he touched upon Judge, Darling was talking about Pete Alonso and his future with the team. The former player mentioned that Judge had more home runs than Alonso.

“No one hits home runs as much as Pete Alonso except Aaron Judge,” Darling said.
Darling’s words are undoubtedly true, as Judge hit the most home runs in 2024. The Yankees star smashed 58 more than Shohei Ohtani and Juan Soto. MLB rumors have taken a new turn as some believe the Red Sox are hesitant to sign Alex Bregman.
