On Sunday, the terrible news was passed down that former Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz had been shot in a disco in his native Dominican Republic.
Via Mirror:
“Local reports say he was shot and wounded in Dial’s disco, in the capital Santo Domingo. He was reportedly hit in the leg.
He was taken to the Comprehensive Medical Center. A TV presenter was also wounded with the aggressor arrested in the same place.”
It seems as if it was a burglary attempt, per multiple reports.
