When the Red Sox played the Phillies on Friday in Philadelphia, a fan fell into the bullpen and had to be taken away on a stretcher. At Citizens Bank Park, the incident took place in the visitors’ bullpen in front of Red Sox pitchers.
The fan, who was sporting a Philadelphia Phillies jersey, was captured on camera using social media. The incident occurred after the first batter of the game, Red Sox outfielder Raimel Tapia, who got to second off an error from Phillies outfielder Kyle Schwarber.
It appeared that the fan was alert but looked to be badly injured from the fall.
