Juan Soto has several teams behind him as he remains the top free agent this offseason. The Mets, Yankees, Red Sox, and Blue Jays have contacted the star slugger, but the Chicago White Sox? Although Soto is believed to go with a team that gives him the highest paycheck, signing with the White Sox seems way out of reach.
A viral social media post that gathered more than 1.4 million views said that the White Sox offered Soto a deal. The post was shared by Mike, a writer at Sports Mockery. Mike’s post captioned the following: “BREAKING: White Sox to offer Juan Soto a massive 2-year $20M contract with incentives up to $30M. Jerry Reinsdorf plans to go all in this offseason.”

It’s time for the fact check. Did the White Sox offer Juan Soto a massive contract? The answer is a straight “NO.” There are no reports or news of the White Sox offering Soto a deal. It’s obvious that Mike was being sarcastic with his post. However, several MLB fans thought that Mike was being serious.
The White Sox were the worst team in 2024. They held the worst record in the league. Even if the franchise offered Soto a massive deal, the chances of signing with the team are pretty slim.
