Josh Hamilton was arrested on Wednesday on a third-degree felony charge of injury to a child, according to Dallas News.
The report states that Hamilton’s ex-wife, Katie Hamilton, had sought a protective order earlier this month on behalf of one of the couple’s three children. Hamilton’s bond was set at $35,000 with the condition that he not have contact with one of his daughters and any children under the age of 17.
The 38-year-old was the American League MVP with the Rangers in 2010.
The five-time All-Star was named to the team’s Hall of Fame earlier this year.
