Even though it was Mike Fiers who set off the entire investigation into the Houston Astros who somewhat got punished for their actions in a major sign-stealing scandal that rocked baseball, none of the players have elected to go after their former teammate for running his mouth to the league.
That all changed when former Astros slugger Evan Gattis, who was a member of the 2017 team, took to Twitter and posted an image of a glass with Fiers’ face on it above the phrase “snitches get stitches.”
Most think what Fiers did was a good thing, but there are a large number of people who don’t like someone coming out to blast former teammates in a scheme they had no issue with while it was happening.
ESPN MLB analyst Jessica Mendoza, ex-MLB player David Ortiz, former manager Phil Garner, and former Red Sox pitcher Pedro Martinez are just a few of the people that have called out Fiers for snitching.
