The Los Angeles Dodgers took a night game to honor one of the greatest Los Angeles legends of all time.
In a spectacular drone show, the Dodgers recreated different moments and highlights for Kobe Bryant, the late Los Angeles Lakers legend. The drone show featured Kobe’s Career High game, his five NBA Championship Rings, and the emotional final game, which bookended the show with his famous quote “Mamba Out”.
The LA Dodgers also announced a $100k donation to the Mamba and Mambacita Foundation, which was created in honor of Kobe and his daughter Gianna Bryant.
Kobe Bryant, along with his daughter and several others were killed in a helicopter accident in January of 2020, which 3 years later is still fresh in the mind of sports fans. The Lakers legend was 41 when he died, and his daughter was 13.
The drone show was one of many ways the city and sports in Los Angeles will honor the all-time great basketball player. Bryant’s impact and “Mamba Mentality” beliefs are entrenched in the city forever and his ability to leave it all on the court or field is a lesson to everyone.
